The price is irrelevant, as anything under $10K for a car is about the same as free.
What's important is the condition of the car and whether it will provide you trouble-free motoring and at least be cosmetically good enough to keep you happy.
The "reliability" is about the same as any 10-year-old car, i.e. some things are worn out and require replacement. Nice if the service records show some recent maintenance, and by that I do NOT mean oil changes.
