In NYC a News anchor had Cerebral Hemorage on air
I recall a male news reader here in NYC (WABC 7) had a Cerebral Hemorage on air during a newscast. He lost his speech, eyes rolled back and he slumped from the crair to the floor as they went to commercial.
They had him in Colombia Presbeterian Brain unit in 20 min and he survived and was back on air in 6-8 months.
We also had a guy have an incident with an undoagnosed brain tumor back in the 1980's whgere he lost speech and went twitchy during a live telecast. He had radiaton therapy and I don;t recall if he ever came back to the station.
I had 20 years in TV/Film and Network news (US & International) and I've seen folks have Coronary Attacks, 2 shootings, all kinds of pathos (hysterics and rage). I was one of the camera folks the day the guy blew his brains out in PA Live and in Color.
My buddy works for Univision and after 35 years in Central/South america he has seen stuff that made him finally quit (recent Mexican Drug gang violence-butchered civilians, etc).
We censor it-Central/South America shows it.
