Just replaced the older style white hand fuel primer on my 84 300SD.
Followed a great tutorial on site here (thanks).
still find today that fuel is gathering at base of new pump. Made sure i installed the copper gasket washer that came with the Bosch unit. Tightened it till as far as was thought safe. Pic not the best but see attached.
When I removed the threaded nipple for the secondary fuel line filter (the clear one) saw that it had no washer. Does it require one and could this be the culprit ?
Anyone know what size it is to save me oulling it again to check if thats the case ?
