I know a little about them

These are relatively desirable cars.

I think there were around 4-5000 of them sold in the US = not many.

Quieter more powerful engine than the older wagons, but the california cars may have a trap oxidizer that is a known problem that usually creates craked heads. Make sure the this part has been removed.

Mileage should be around 28 mpg.

Price is going to vary a lot. Some nuts ask for around $12,000 and think it is realistic, but a more normal price for what it should/will sell for is around $7500 - $8000 (that is just my guess, but I have been sorta looking for 87 300TDs for a while).

If price is a concern, you can probably pick up the older body style like I have for about half the price, but the newer engine and styling are really quite nice.
