That's what I would have to find out, that's what I would want. For my use that would be ideal since it would be a work vehicle and I never put more than 100-125 miles a day on it at most, usually its a lot less than that. I could refuel at home and never have to worry about range or finding a station.
The point is not so much to save money as it is to not have to use oil. Also I want to support a US based fuel industry, that creates good jobs in this country.
I just looked GM offers it on there work vans, they cost about $40k. It doesn't seem like much of a stretch to offer it in the Silverado. I wouldn't want an aftermarket conversion since GM does change the motor to run on CNG. They use harder valves and valve seats and up the compression, change the fuel injection system, etc. The motor itself is a $1,250 option over the standard 6L.
