I am in the same boat. I bought a spare frame so i might try to get the old one pulled just out of curiosity, but if that fails or makes it worse i'll just replace it.

The part is insanely flexible and light and thin for what it is... and yours is even smaller and lighter than mine. Not susprised they don't want to touch it.
