so, it appears to be a valid VIN...i just called the local tag office and they were able to pull up the VIN immediately...i guess every insurance agent in the country is a moron, because i think i called them all today
what looks to have happened is, the car is a 280, rebadged as a 500...not a crime, but certainly set off a chain of red flags for me
