my 1993 500E video is up

OK, my friends...

I have ditched Microsoft IIS because it BLOWS CHUNKS (any "Get a Life" fans, out there?); I am now running Apache 2 (Win32) on an Intel installation of Microsoft .NET Enterprise Server (RC-1).

My 1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E website is at:

http://www.nemonis.net

By my estimate, the 118MB .mov file ("run_exe_small.mov") will take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to download, depending upon your Internet circuit speed.

I would be interested to learn how long it takes each of you, respectively, to download said movie ("run_exe_small.mov").

Henceforth, I will keep all movies under 50MB/90 seconds, once I have found a "happy medium"/balance between compression codecs and spatial resolutions. I agree that (spatially) tiny movies are WEAK (they are a TEASE); however, few (if any) of us have dual-homed DS-3/OC-128 circuits. In a perfect world...

Perhaps mercedesshop.com or ///benzsport.com might consider a "Video Gallery" section - assuming prerequisite disk space and bandwidth exist. If not, I am happy to post members' (of ANY MBZ-forum) 500E/E500 videos on my site (I have disk space to spare).

In summary, I apologize for the relatively slow speed of my xDSL circuit; however, it remains my hope that I can continue to contribute to this forum in a meaningful and entertaining manner.

Thank you for your patience, friendship, and common fanatiscm for all things Mercedes-Benz!

Kind regards,
