could you photograph that section of your owner's manual and post a pic?
I've never read anything in any MB literature that recommends idling the car.
most advice I've read says to start the car, let the oil pressure stabilize and go. don't use HEAVY acceleration before it's up to operating temp, but Idling is bad.
