Another possibly good practice. Allow the engine to run long enough after pulling off the highway to normalise any hot spots and let the turbo spool down while the turbo bearings are still getting an oil feed . It is just an old time belief but rational in my opinion in extending a diesel engines lifespan and the turbo bearings. I cannot see any harm either. A minute or two is not a great loss to enable this.
