According to the discipline policy, my 10 year old kid will be suspended (or worse) if he retaliates or otherwise defends himself against a bully. The policy has zero tolerance for violence. I told him directly to ignore that rule if he encounters a bully. I showed him some techniques and will stand behind him if the situation arises.
