I have an '88 420 SEL. I'm not the original owner, nor do I have the books or sticker.

I am about to do a differential fluid servicing myself. However.....

I don't know if I have the limited-slip rea or not. I know from reading the books, etc., that ls diffs. have some sort of tag on them. However, mine might be lost or removed.

Question is: If I just play it safe and put the MB limited slip fluid in, will I harm operations of the rear end if my differential is the regular one?
