I would like a cup holder in my 300D.

The previous owner had a very ugly and flimsy plastic fold-out one screwed into the carpet on the passenger side of the console. I have bought the same type except it is sturdy stainless steel. It is a little larger too and has different screw placement.

It just arrived today, and putting it where the other was is not a good option. The angle is off, it isn't so easy to reach, interferes with the passenger leg area, and worst of all requires the seat to be kept too far back. So, no...

I am thinking of installing it is the door, but I am reluctant to make holes and regret it later. Also, I don't want to interfere with anything behind with the screws.

The best place for me to put it seems to be under the handle. That makes it convenient and interferes the least if at all with my driving and comfort.
