The paper clip is still in place. Last night I used some JB Weld on the cable to the "ball" part. It didn't seem dry enough this moring so I left it unhooked using the paper clip still. If the JB Weld holds I'll just keep some paper clips in the glove compartment, if not I priced out a new cable from Fastlane...
