There are a couple guys in our club that buy basketcase runabouts and bring them back to glory. I've seen each of them take bonfire material to show quality. They use them for a couple years, usually while starting the next project, before moving on to the next one. For some folks, a lot of joy comes in the maintenance. Unfortunately for me, I'm not one of those folks.
