That reminds me of another of mine... working on the rear brakes of a VW .. trying to pull the hubs with a puller... a BIG hammer operated puller.... I pretty much ruined the puller because I had left the parking brake ON...
Sometimes ' get a bigger hammer' is not as good as ' think about what might be causing unusual problem...' ....
