I should clarify. Your OP was along the lines of (a) Ryan looks goofy and (b) his proposal has no merit. Botnst quoted the first part, replaced the second part with "...", and then tried to make fun of you for judging Ryan because you think he looks goofy. To me, that sort of editing is what Fox News does.

Your subsequent comments, though, make the valid point that non-verbal clues inform our opinions about people, whether we like to admit it or not. Botnst is free to criticize that viewpoint, which is what I meant when I said that his blast did not miss the mark by much. That does not mean that I agree with his criticism, just that it was legitimate for him to take the contrary view.

Anyone who believes that non-verbal clues do not affect his views of the positions taken by politicians is probably not being honest with himself.
