Some truth to what you say. However, I find it reasonable to assail increased debt while realizing that any hint of default or decrease in credit-worthiness will be very costly to the nation. If the cost of our current debt goes up, it will be that much harder to stay on top of things and take concrete steps to bring debt and deficit down.
