Oil Filter Housing to Block Gasket 617.952 part # 6161840780.
I remember reading from one of our members that the latest Gasket had some sort of waffle pattern on it.
So, I made sure the one I bought was from a Mercedes Dealer.
You can see that both sides have the waffle pattern that is made out of some sort of hard rubbery stuff and one side has a solid bead around all of the openings.
The Gasket has a thin hard rubber side, a piece of Metal and another substance between the hard rubber other side.
So it is clear that a lot of trouble was taken to design and make the newer style Gasket. (This is the one I used on my Engine.)
The Original Gasket I removed is just a simple paper Gasket (See Last Pic).
