At about :41 - :43, he was putting his left foot out, it sort of looks like he got some body work contact with the road on the low side and transferred weight off the wheels, then it slipped out from under him. Inexperienced rider; too fast for the corner, and putting a foot out with a flip-flop!!! This guy's bucking for a Darwin Award.
Scooters don't have the turning lean clearance that a real bike does.
If you want to start out with a bike, something around 350cc to 500cc, depending on your size. A smaller person would go for the lower, while a fat guy like me needs the extra power to haul his weight around.
At higher speeds, the heavier, larger wheels of a bike act like gyroscopes, to help with the stability of the bike. A scooter has such small, light wheels, there isn't enough mass far enough from the center to give any help.
The first tool any new rider needs is a sense of extreme paranoia: Yes, everyone IS out to kill you. You are not just imagining it, they really are. Helmet, jacket (leather, preferably), long pants, and good boots/shoes. Even at 30 MPH, bugs hurt. At higher speeds, they hurt worse. Protect yourself.
