It seems the Republicans had a good reason for wanting the Dems to pledge to never use what the Republicans call 'Mediscare' tactics in their ads.

The Republicans are going to start running ads in California in a week or so saying that Dems are destroying health care by making Medicare stronger. The tag line is 'Medical decisions should be between you and your Doctor'. The ad does not point out that medical decisions will stay between you and your doctor; it just talks about the Dems plan to make changes to Medicare and leaves you to try and figure out what on Earth they are talking about.

But they still want Dems to pledge to not bring up this deception during the elections.

I wonder if this could be referred to as 'begging'?
