Receiver Dryer Temp Switch 83 300SD

My aux fan on the condenser doesn't turn on with the a/c, and to make a long story short, I have jumped the wires to the receiver dryer temp switch so the fan stays on any time the car is running.

The switch that is on the car now has a red plastic cap (picture of replacement below).

I did a search on the forums and some folks say it will not release the freon, and some say it will based on the type of switch that is on the dryer...so...

The question I have is, when I go to replace the temp switch, will freon come out or no?
