This could be an "attempt" by the convicted to get his sentence reduced just because the controller of the "punishment" is a woman.

Not all is as it seems 'til the "...very last drop" (Sorry Folgers!) of acid has been administered TO BOTH EYES and the cretin is finally allowed to wake up and feel the pain.
