You need a pump that will deliver 1 litre in 30sec when voltage is at least 11.5V and fuel pressure is 2 - 2.1bar (29 psig)

There are many pumps that might do that, but the ones for CIS engines can put out a lot more pressure - maybe 90 psig or more when dead headed.

As pointed out earlier, the D-jet pump has an internal relief valve that limits output pressure so that rubber hose connections (that CIS engines don't have) won't blow off (and perhaps cause a fire) if for some reason pump is dead headed.

You could probably buy a cheap Airtex or similar pump and keep it just as a spare to get you home. They are all small in diameter and need a rubber mounting sleeve.

Or you could look for a used MB or Nissan pump on eBay and again just carry it as a spare. Some other cars also use a similar pump - Citroen, Saab, ?? but we would have to double check specs.

Or you could pay ~$300 and get a new pump. (Mine cost me $500!). That is actually quite a good price for a brand name fuel pump.

The other spare that I don't have (but maybe should), is a fuel pump relay. It's hard to get at. I think if I ever get it out again, I will just install a pair of wires and a fuse holder so it can be easily jumpered if it fails.
