If you decide to go the new seal route, you can get one from Mercedes Benz classic center. You will get one that is made for the European market but it fits just fine. It is not always possible to get the windshield out without breaking it so be prepared. The sedan seal will not work.

I had my seal re-done over the winter. It was $106 for the seal and $100 to install. I was lucky and the glass did not break and was not de-laminating. There was not rust under the seal. Make sure if you have rust that you treat that area before the new seal/glass is installed. This is really not a DIY job unless you really know what you are doing.

I asked my local independent German car shop where they went for glass work and he sent me to a shop that was familiar with MB glass. They did a great job.
