Alas, no pick and pull junkyards near me. I'll try to clean the contacts and see if there are any cold solder joints, but I think I may do the upgrade. It's starting to fire off randomly while driving and cause my alternator to squeal, but I haven't definitely tied those 2 (glow indicator light comes on and the alternator belt slips) together, as it won't do this for me, just my better half.
