Found the bush button, on the bottom. I must remove the plastic sleeve around the steering column. I have the wheel off now and not sure what to do with the cruise and wiper switches. I think the sleeve comes up to remove so switches have to come of. Now 10 minutes later I have the switch assembly unscrewed and there is enough slack in the cables to allow the sleeve to be moved into a position that gives access to the button for drilling. I am taking pictures of this crazy procedure and will post later. Just center punched the pin it is soft I think. Now on with the drilling. I center punched the pin with an automatic punch, one of those spring loaded things. better to get a good center. Drilled a 3/32" then completed the pin removal with a 3/16". Presto, out came the lock assembly. Oh Oh. Whats this. The three screws holding the switch on the rear don't have their heads exposed. Nice trick Heinrick. It's martini time. The saga continues tomorrow.
