If you have or know of an independent mechanic that you trust & he/she has YEARS if experience servicing MBZ vehicles, then I would recommend an indy over the dealership. On the other hand, if the stealership has an old diesel hand under its employ, it may be better to go with the dealer. The point here is to go with whichever one has the most experience with these vehicles - and that's not always the dealer...
