For those interested, here is a little more info that may help. My concern is still if the savings doing the W140 mod is worth it. The info in the thread below shows the wiring modded, but also states that there is no additional fan speed in the top two fan settings, but that fan performance was improved.

Would it be better to spend 2-3 times as much and get the new fan, reg, cover? Is air movement even better yet above the W140-mod solution?
