Thanks for the info , yes it is a shop tool, not a permant fitted stick like my older mercs, has the black plastic end with the temp marks , so I will push it as far as it will go (hitting the bottom of the pan) its probably over full, will quizz the mechanic tomorrow when he replaces the rear seal,
