Man, your imagination sure goes to the dark side fast.... before you can actually look at the evidence.... glad it worked out to be that... a very easy thing to have happen....
The main thing to look at now... is to be SURE those two orings on the bottom of that tube are good and new... and that the inside of the tube and the tiny hole at the top are clean... oil flows through that tube and hole...as small as they are...
