Our A/C is blowing cold air, but when you turn it on there's a noise under the hood that sounds like the engine is revving at 8000 RPM. When the A/C is turned off, the noise goes away. It is definitely the A/C and not the engine.

We leave on a long trip soon so I need to get the issue fixed.
