How low was it run on oil?

Did you ever find the stalling issue?

I suspect a major vacuum leak was causing the stalling. It could also increase oil consumption. A clogged cat is laughable, a converter with a broken matrix can and will rattle, but clogged ones glow red hot and cause a loss of power.
Knocking isnt good. I suspect the problem will rear it's ugly head shortly.


I have a lead on a 29k mile engine for $400 local to me. Finding them by you for $750's...
