A couple of years ago I posted a set of bundts on Craigslist for just $40.00 for the set of four. They needed a lot of cleaning, but I don't think you can beat that price. This guy drives all the way from Santa Cruz which is close to a 75 mile drive one way and empties his pockets with $26.00. I really wanted to tell him to keep the $26.00 and use it for the fuel he'll need to get home, but I'm not that mean spirited. I simply wanted the bundts and that loser out of my driveway. After that, I always put "PRICES ARE REASONABLE AND FIRM" in my ads, and people always pay what I ask.

Some years back I had a small washing machine that I aquired somehow.....a tenant left it behind I think. I advertised it in the Trader which was where you advertised cheap stuff before Craigs list. \
A fellow showed up needing a washing machine and offered half what I was asking. I said no. He drove off and a couple of hours later came back and gave me the asking price. Turns out when he came home empty handed his wife made him come back. I think he lived in Indy which is a seventy mile hike.
I felt sorry for him.....just a bit.
