they don't make any noise until i actually apply the brakes and then only when i'm coming to a slow stop.

but the hoses are original so i'm sure it would be a good idea to replace them. after 25 years!

car has 98K miles

i squeeze the pads back with channel locks. takes a pretty good grip but not impossible

with the wheels off, the hub turns but has a slight drag, but not what i would think is abnormal as the pads touch the rotors and provide a little drag, right?
