Dave- cops are civilians too. The only citizens who are not civilians are those who are on active Military duty. As a Veteran I always find it odd that a public servant would call their employers "civilians" as if they were a different class of people. I'm not referring to you personally, as from your postings you seem like an "old school" cop, but a lot of the newbies don't seem to understand that they are civilians like the rest of us. I find it scary when policemen don't realize that they are not part of a Military organization, yet think they can act as if they are.
