it's evident you have no idea when Obama was a senator.
Furthermore, if the Republican controlled House truly believed Obama's actions were outside the law they would have cut off funding. But they didn't, giving Obama a defacto approval.
It isn't about when Obama was senator. It's about what he said when he was senator. Go back and look.

Here is what Obama said, “The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.”
