I guess I can switch it, but if all it does is interrupt the signal to the compressor coil, I'm not going to bother. I drove it today near the Blue Ridge Mountains for about an hour with the AC running, and no problems. But, if it's needed for another reason, I can switch it. The other thing I noticed is the indicator light for the GP's just stays on until I start the car. I used the 350 carside harness including the relay, and used the 300 engine side harness. There is an extra pin in the relay for the small plug. 5 pins on the 350, 4 pins on the 300. I plugged the 350 carside harness into that, so that matched. But, on the carside, there is one green wire that is included that terminates to a pin. The 350 uses 2 wires in that position. One green wire, and a white wire. I plugged the green wires together, and it works good, except for the indicator light not shutting off until I start the car. So, there is nothing hooked to the white wire on the carside harness. I'm figuring it has to do with the afterglow on the 350, but I didnt think it would influence the indicator light.

All in all, it was a fairly straight forward swap. Some different vac lines, but if you take the time to study where they terminate, it's not bad. I didnt realize that the old 350 engine was that much louder than the 300 low mileage engine. The 350 engine ran fine, and had plenty of power, but just rattled a bit more. Never noticed it until this engine was put in it's place.

Thanks to all, especially Sixto.

As far as what I verified needs to be changed...

Compressor bracket needed to be swapped from the 350 to the 300 block if you want to use the 350 compressor, the 17c.

Alternator had different wiring attachments on the back. So, I swapped that over.

Used the longer 300SDL belt, 845K6. 835K6 was just too tight to make it. An inch here made all the difference. I thought I would have to use to shorter belt with the 350SDL, but nope.

My car did not have the SLS option, so the power steering pump wasnt an issue.

I think that was about it. If anyone has any specific concerns about this swap, feel free to contact me.
