Good idea.

Around here the leo would advise you to defend yourself and your property as you needed to. It is 1/2 mile from my house to the gate that stays locked and there are three big dogs between here and there. The dogs are one of the best alarms you can have. As a matter of fact they provide you enough time to be selective in picking out the firearm you want to head outside with (versus picking up the one you are closest to). You never know what kinda thief meth head you are going to come accross this poor, poor area. Anyway, unless they had night vision it would be hard to maneuver around between here and the gate. Most folks are pretty scared to come down that dirt road. I guess it has something to do with the signage on the other side of the gate.
