I've never had bad luck buying, selling (or even renting out my apartment while traveling or finding business clients!) on Craigslist. It's a lot easier psychologically to screw someone over that you haven't met. Face-to-face transactions tend to be more honest. That's where we disagree then. Having gone through CL folks that don't keep appointments; want to negotiate prices down to the last second; lowball and trade offers; and then the risks of meeting up at some location . . . eBay isn't so bad.
When was the last time you read in the news about somebody getting hijacked, mugged or otherwise physically messed up while closing a deal on eBay?
