Never understood why people listen to critics. I used to work in newspapers and was astounded, knowing the critics in the papers as I did, how people would surrender their intellects to these pompous clowns. Every time I suggest a movie to my wife her knee jerk response is "what does Ebert say about it". I didn't even know who the hell Ebert was till I met her.
When I decide on a movie the first thing that I look as is the subject matter. If it interests me I look to see the preview, if that looks promising I'll go see it. What critics think means nothing to me what so ever.
