You should not put Freeze 12 in an R12 system unless you flush and change the oil in the system, change the O-rings to R134 type and connectors.

Did you add oil to the system after changing the dryer and expansion valve?

If you want to keep the system as is, use Envirosafe or some other hydrocarbon, they mix well with mineral oil in the R12 systems.
