When I constructed my indash Karman Ghia AC from three different hang on units.... I found that the fittings which were proper for what I was doing simply had arms on the outside...and concentric ribs ... the arms were to ' locate ' the SS screw up type hose clamps...
But without pictures of what you are facing this is just filler till you post them....
