i am going to edit post for fear of those that might think i would abuse my car....

the patient: 1987 420sel

the problem: more often then not if i slide the gear selector into park, it will not fully engage, and the car will try to inch forward....the car will start in park and neutral so i am thinking there is excessive play

my mechanic buddy pulled out one cracked rubber bushing but i am still missing something as today i am having the same symptoms....ideas please on curing the excessive play with the gear selector
