Diesel performance

Simon,

Don't despair, diesels can be performance cars just ask Mercedes about the 1976 diesel version of the C111. Seems they took the normally asperated 300d engine turbo charged, intercooled and tweaked it a few other places stuffed it in the C111, took it down to the Nardi Racetrack in Italy. There they ran it for 50 hours and averaged 156.9 for the entire time.

So the facts are that you can not only have the performance, durablity and better mileage, too.

Check page four here for "300DT Intercooler Pictrues".

By the way, I'm in the Bay Area and just gave another MB devotee a drive in the "Super Diesel".

If you interested in driving a turbo diesel, intercooled and with a manual transmission respond on the Intercooler thread.

I'll look for your reaction there.

Ben
