617.952 722 AT no load downshift
Hi,
Both my 81 and 82 have a somewhat hard upshift. I like it that way and as I understand, it's actually better for the trans. The odd thing on my 82 is that when I'm coming to a stop, no load, I oftentimes hear, and sometimes actually feel the trans clunk through the gears as it goes back.
While I have heard very quiet flunks in my other w123 cars, in the 82 it is really pronounced and as mentioned, can be felt a bit...
The trans shifts and operates well, has seen regular service, has full fluid, and I have no reason to think anything the matter with it. However this is noticeable... Should I be concerned?
