It might be a little short on torque unless you messed with the gearing. Horsepower is on par with the 6.2 GM diesel the military used to get in Blazers and pickups. It won't win any races but should be livable.

OTOH, you could squeeze in a 4BT Cummins, or a GM 6.5, or even a Duramax or 6BT Cummins. These would be more fun. Dare to be different-find a used C7 Cat and use that.
