I asked on the axis history forum about 6 years ago what happened to that weapon, it would certainly be an iconic piece of history today for sure.

But nobody knows the fate of that weapon. Probably someone present in the bunker at the time took it would be my guess.

Its actual fate is stillk uknown. The fleet of Mercedes Benz 770K Pullman sedans in the adjacent Reichschancelry is murky lso. For about one week some of them were spotted being driven around Berlin by Russian high ranking militry officers but after that the vehicles were not seen again, though most likely they were shipped to russia.

The first Russian soldiers inside the bunker on May 2, I believe were reported to Russin female medics if I correctly recall; THEIR interest was in lootint Eva Brauns wardrobe and frilly underwear, with which tey emerged fron the bunker waving her garments in the air.
