I would be interested to see something to substantiate the suggestion that 9/11 has much to do with our current problems. The way we reacted to 9/11 might have adversely effected the economy, but that's our own fault. If we had our act together, I would expect something like 9/11 to knock us on our heals for a time, but I would not expect it to render us helpless to do anything about the current unemployment crisis.

That's why George Bush and the Tea Party are such tremendous gifts to our enemies. W is out of the picture now, but the Tea Party is carrying on the work of making sure that our economy stays in the dumps. They have divided the country better than any enemy ever could.
