I got these Ford bonds that were paying 8% for several years, then to buy them all back, Ford offered a sweetender of 50.00 per bond, so I took it and kept the amount as cash.
Ford is a good long-term bet, but several others may be good bets in the short run.
Banks will never fail, so as they go down, due to the nervousness of the market-- buy low and sell high.
Look at B of A-- gone from 1.25 to 16.00 now a little ;lower.
Or Citi from 4.00 to 26.00 or thereabouts.

Right now I am working on a deal to buy Snap-On tools by the pound as scrap, then sort and perhaps resell the rest once I have everything I need.
Every once in a while I get lucky. I got all the Mercedes manuals from Jacques Littlefield's estate (google him) sent to me for postage, so i took the manuals I needed and sold the rest (10 boxes) to whunter for the price of the postage. He got a deal, I'm sure he hasn't even sorted them out yet.
More deals are coming, this next one involving a large (200+) gun collection and several trucks. Stay tuned if you are so inclined.
I have been too busy keeping my son out of trouble to do much else.
